Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ham, diced
  • 2 cups Dried white beans soaked overnight
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
  2. 2. Add the diced ham and cook for a few minutes until browned.
  3. 3. Add the soaked beans, chicken broth, and water to the pot. Bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until beans are tender.
  5. 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
