Potato Filling
- 4 medium Potatoes boiled and mashed
- 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves chopped
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
Batter
- 1 cup Gram Flour (Besan)
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt or to taste
- as needed Water to make batter
- for deep frying Oil
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add turmeric powder and mashed potatoes. Mix well.
Add salt and chopped coriander leaves. Mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Let it cool.
Make small balls from the potato mixture.
In a bowl, mix gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, baking soda, and salt. Add water gradually to make a thick batter.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Dip each potato ball in the batter and deep fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot with chutney.
