Ingredients 

Kofta Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cabbage, finely grated
  • 1 cup Besan (Gram Flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • to taste Salt
  • as needed Oil for frying

Curry Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 2 cups Tomato Puree
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Cream
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander Leaves, chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine grated cabbage, besan, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a frying pan. Shape the dough into small balls and fry until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. 3. In another pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then add tomato puree, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
  5. 5. Add water and bring to a boil. Add the fried koftas and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Stir in fresh cream and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or roti.
