Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana Dal soaked for 1 hour
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Paste
  • 2 pcs Green Chilies slit
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse and soak chana dal for 1 hour.
  2. 2. In a pressure cooker, add soaked chana dal, turmeric powder, and water. Cook for 3-4 whistles.
  3. 3. In a pan, heat ghee. Add cumin seeds and bay leaves. Sauté for a minute.
  4. 4. Add ginger paste and green chilies. Sauté for another minute.
  5. 5. Add cooked chana dal, salt, and sugar. Mix well and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. 6. Serve hot with rice or roti.
