Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Goat meat, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 2 medium Onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 inch Ginger, minced
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 handful Cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for another minute.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  5. Add yogurt, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add goat meat and cook until it is browned on all sides.
  7. Add water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours or until the meat is tender.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
