Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 250 grams Green beans chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut grated
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Urad dal
  • 2 units Dried red chilies broken
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add urad dal, dried red chilies, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add chopped green beans and salt. Stir well.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 10-12 minutes until beans are tender.
  5. Add grated coconut, mix well, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot as a side dish.
