Indian Green Beans Poriyal Recipe
A simple and delicious South Indian side dish made with green beans, coconut, and spices.

Main Ingredients
- 250 grams Green beans chopped
- 2 tablespoons Coconut grated
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Urad dal
- 2 units Dried red chilies broken
- 1 pinch Asafoetida
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- to taste Salt
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add urad dal, dried red chilies, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
Add chopped green beans and salt. Stir well.
Cover and cook on low heat for 10-12 minutes until beans are tender.
Add grated coconut, mix well, and cook for another 2 minutes.
Serve hot as a side dish.
