Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Green peas fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Urad dal
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 units Green chilies slit
  • ¼ cup Grated coconut
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add urad dal, asafoetida, curry leaves, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the green peas and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until peas are tender.
  4. Mix in the grated coconut and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve warm.
