Ingredients

Gulab Jamun Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk powder
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee melted
  • 2 tablespoon Milk or as needed

Sugar Syrup Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 ½ cup Water
  • 4 pcs Cardamom pods crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Rose water optional

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda.
  2. 2. Add melted ghee and mix well.
  3. 3. Gradually add milk to form a soft dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Meanwhile, prepare the sugar syrup. In a pan, combine sugar, water, and crushed cardamom pods. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add rose water, if using, and set aside.
  5. 5. Divide the dough into small balls, ensuring there are no cracks.
  6. 6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the balls until golden brown, turning occasionally.
  7. 7. Remove the fried balls and drain excess oil. Immediately transfer them to the warm sugar syrup. Let them soak for at least 2 hours before serving.
