Ingredients 

For the Poori

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • as needed Water to knead

For the Halwa

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Water
  • ¼ cup Ghee
  • ¼ teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped Nuts optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Mix flour, salt, and oil. Add water gradually to form a dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. Divide dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a small circle.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the pooris until golden brown.
  4. 4. For the halwa, heat ghee in a saucepan. Add semolina and roast until golden.
  5. 5. Add water, sugar, and cardamom powder. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  6. 6. Cook until the mixture thickens. Garnish with chopped nuts.
