Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Raw Jackfruit cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 medium Onions finely chopped
  • 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Cilantro chopped, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. 2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.
  4. 4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  5. 5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. 6. Add jackfruit pieces and mix until they are well coated with the spices.
  7. 7. Add 1 cup of water, close the lid, and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  8. 8. Once the pressure releases, open the lid and cook on medium flame until the curry thickens.
  9. 9. Add garam masala and mix well. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
