Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mangodi (dried lentil dumplings)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Tomato, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  4. Add mangodi and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the mangodi is cooked and the gravy thickens.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and serve hot.
