Indian Mixed Lentil Dosa

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Urad dal (split black gram)
  • 1 cup Chana dal (split chickpeas)
  • 1 cup Toor dal (split pigeon peas)
  • 1 cup Moong dal (split green gram)
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • as needed Water
  • as needed Oil for cooking

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse all the lentils and rice together in water and soak them for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. 2. Drain the water and blend the soaked lentils and rice into a smooth batter, adding water as needed.
  3. 3. Add salt to the batter and mix well. Let it ferment for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
  5. 5. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook until the dosa turns golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6. Fold the dosa and serve hot with chutney and sambar.
