Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Mutton cut into pieces
  • 1 cup Chana Dal soaked for 30 minutes
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Onions finely chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 handful Coriander Leaves chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. 2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  3. 3. Add mutton pieces and cook until they turn brown.
  4. 4. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  5. 5. Add soaked chana dal and mix well.
  6. 6. Add enough water to cover the mixture. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  7. 7. Once the pressure releases, open the lid and add garam masala. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  8. 8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
