Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oats
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (carrot, peas, beans)
  • 2 cups Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander Leaves, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
  4. Add mixed vegetables and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add oats and roast for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add water, salt, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Mix well.
  7. Cover and cook on low heat until the oats are cooked and water is absorbed.
  8. Turn off the heat. Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.
  9. Serve hot.
