Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Toor Dal (Split Pigeon Peas)
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (Potato, Carrot, Pumpkin, Eggplant) chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Wash the toor dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked dal, chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, and water. Cook for 3-4 whistles.
  3. 3. In a pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  4. 4. Add the cooked dal and vegetable mixture to the pan. Add salt to taste and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. 5. Serve hot with rice or roti.
