Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 medium Purple Cabbage shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Urad Dal
  • 1 teaspoon Chana Dal
  • 2 nos Green Chilies slit
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Grated Coconut optional

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add urad dal, chana dal, green chilies, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the shredded purple cabbage and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cook on medium heat for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Turn off the heat and add grated coconut, if using. Mix well and serve hot.
