Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rava (Semolina)
  • ½ cup Moong Dal
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 10 pieces Curry Leaves
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 3 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. Dry roast the rava (semolina) in a pan until it turns light golden. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, dry roast the moong dal until aromatic. Set aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, crushed black pepper, curry leaves, and chopped ginger. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add water and salt to the pan and bring it to a boil.
  5. Add the roasted moong dal and cook until it is soft.
  6. Slowly add the roasted rava while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  7. Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens and the rava is cooked. Serve hot.
