Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger grated
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables carrots, peas, beans
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 pods Cardamom
  • 2 pieces Cloves

Instructions 

  1. Heat ghee in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and cloves. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are golden brown.
  4. Add mixed vegetables and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add rinsed basmati rice and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in water and add salt. Stir well.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
