Main Ingredients
- 500 g Lamb, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 2 large Onions, finely chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
- 2 teaspoon Ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 400 g Canned tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup Plain yogurt
- 1 cup Water
- to taste Salt
- to taste Fresh cilantro, chopped
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add garlic and ginger, cook for another minute.
Stir in coriander, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, and paprika. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add lamb pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
Stir in chopped tomatoes and yogurt. Cook for 5 minutes.
Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour or until lamb is tender.
Season with salt to taste. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
