Instructions
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a saucepan, heat the ghee or butter over medium heat.
3. Add the cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
4. Add the rinsed rice and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
5. Pour in the water, saffron with its soaking water, and salt. Stir well.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
