Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vermicelli (Sevai)
  • 4 cups Milk
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • ¼ cup Mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, raisins) chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat ghee in a saucepan and roast the vermicelli until golden brown.
  2. Add milk to the saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the vermicelli is cooked.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom powder, and mix well.
  5. Cook for a few more minutes until the kheer thickens to your desired consistency.
  6. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve warm or chilled.
