Indian Shalgam Ki Sabzi Recipe (Turnip Curry)

Main Ingredients
- 500 grams Turnips peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 cup Onions finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 cups Tomatoes pureed
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Cilantro chopped, for garnish
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
Add pureed tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
Add chopped turnips and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat until turnips are tender.
Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
