Indian Style Basmati Rice Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Basmati Rice rinsed
- 2 cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Ghee or Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 stick Cinnamon
- 2 pods Cardamom
- 2 pcs Cloves
1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a saucepan, heat the ghee or oil over medium heat.
3. Add the cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and cloves. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
4. Add the rinsed rice and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
5. Pour in the water and add salt to taste. Stir well.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
