Indian Taco Recipe
A delicious fusion of traditional Native American fry bread topped with seasoned ground beef, beans, and fresh vegetables.

Fry Bread
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Warm water
- as needed Vegetable oil for frying
Toppings
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 can Pinto beans drained and rinsed
- 1 packet Taco seasoning
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
- 1 cup Diced tomatoes
- 1 cup Shredded cheese
- as needed Sour cream
- as needed Salsa
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add warm water and mix until a dough forms.
2. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Divide into 4 equal pieces and flatten each piece into a disc.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry each disc until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
4. In another pan, cook ground beef until browned. Add taco seasoning and pinto beans. Cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Top each fry bread with ground beef mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
