Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Black Peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Dry roast the grated coconut in a pan until it turns golden brown. Set aside to cool.
  2. 2. In the same pan, dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and black peppercorns until aromatic. Let them cool.
  3. 3. Grind the roasted coconut and spices into a fine paste using a blender. Add water as needed.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a pan, add the ground paste, turmeric powder, tamarind pulp, and salt. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
  5. 5. Add water to adjust the consistency and bring it to a boil. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Serve hot with rice or roti.
