Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Tinda (Indian round gourd) peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 cup Onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup Tomato pureed
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Cilantro chopped, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add chopped Tinda and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat until Tinda is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
