Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add olive oil, salt, and whole wheat flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal parts. Shape each part into a bun and place on a baking tray.
Cover the buns with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool on a wire rack.
