Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and whole wheat flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal parts. Shape each part into a bun and place on a baking tray.
  6. Cover the buns with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool on a wire rack.
