  • 1 large Potato Russet or similar
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Optional
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Wash the potato thoroughly and pat it dry.
  2. 2. Pierce the potato several times with a fork.
  3. 3. Place the potato on a microwave-safe plate.
  4. 4. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Turn the potato over and microwave for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Carefully remove the potato from the microwave. Cut it open and add butter, salt, and pepper to taste.
