Monte Cristo Sandwich
A delicious sandwich made with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, dipped in egg batter and fried to golden perfection.

Main Ingredients
- 4 slices Bread white or whole wheat
- 2 slices Ham
- 2 slices Turkey
- 2 slices Swiss Cheese
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 0.25 cup Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Butter for frying
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
2. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a slice of ham, a slice of turkey, and a slice of Swiss cheese between two slices of bread.
3. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides well.
4. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Serve hot, optionally with a dusting of powdered sugar and a side of jam.
