A traditional Cornish pasty recipe with a flaky crust and savory filling.

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 cup Butter Cold and diced
- 0.5 cup Cold water
Filling
- 1 cup Potato Diced
- 1 cup Rutabaga Diced
- 1 cup Onion Chopped
- 1 cup Beef Diced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. Divide dough into four portions. Wrap each in plastic wrap; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine potatoes, rutabaga, onion, beef, salt, and pepper.
Roll out each portion of dough into a 9-in. circle. Place about 1 cup filling on half of each circle. Fold dough over filling; press edges with a fork to seal. Place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
