Main Ingredients
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Dumplings
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup melted butter
1. Add chicken broth, chicken, carrots, celery, onion, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.
2. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt for the dumplings.
4. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
5. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter on top of the chicken mixture in the slow cooker.
6. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes or until dumplings are cooked through.
