Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the rice and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, chicken broth, salt, and cumin. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in the frozen peas, cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff with a fork and serve.
