Basic Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Simple and creamy mashed potatoes, perfect as a side dish.

Main Ingredients
- 2 pounds potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup butter melted
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
1. Peel and cut potatoes into chunks.
2. Boil potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
4. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
5. Add milk and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
