  • 2 pounds potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Peel and cut potatoes into chunks.
  2. 2. Boil potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. 3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. 4. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
  5. 5. Add milk and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
