Indian Gavvalu (Sweet Shells) Recipe
Gavvalu are a traditional Indian sweet made from flour and sugar, shaped like small shells.

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 pinch Salt
- as needed Oil for deep frying
Mix flour, ghee, and salt in a bowl.
Add water gradually to form a dough.
Roll out small portions of dough and shape into shells using a fork or a special tool.
Heat oil in a deep fryer and fry the shells until golden brown.
Prepare sugar syrup by boiling sugar and water until it reaches a one-string consistency.
Dip the fried shells into the sugar syrup and coat well.
Let them cool and serve.
