Ingredients

  • 200 grams Dates pitted
  • 100 grams Tamarind seedless
  • 500 ml Water
  • 100 grams Jaggery grated
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine dates, tamarind, and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes until dates and tamarind are soft.
  2. 2. Let the mixture cool, then blend it into a smooth paste.
  3. 3. Strain the mixture to remove any fibers or seeds.
  4. 4. Return the strained mixture to the saucepan. Add jaggery, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook on low heat until the jaggery dissolves and the chutney thickens.
  5. 5. Let it cool and store in an airtight container. Serve with your favorite snacks.
